Our History
A spirit of innovation and positive thinking enabled Mississippi Chemical workers to solve countless obstacles and bring the world's first farmer-owned nitrogen fertilizer plants into successful operation. It likewise led them to form their own “in-plant bank”.

Founded in 1953 as MCC Employees Federal Credit Union, we have grown to over $9 million in assets and nearly 3,000 members. Over fifty years have passed, a new name has emerged and BenchSmart Federal Credit Union now serves the entire county of Yazoo and provides a full range of financial services including Saving Accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Certificates, Checking Accounts, Consumer Loan Services, ATM Services, Travelers Checks, Direct Deposit, Payroll Deduction, etc. All with competitive interest rates to make your financial decisions simple.
